OBITUARY - Mrs. Elmer L. (Edith G. Stivers) Belcher, 59, of 1472 E. Condit St., died 4:06 a.m., Monday, April 2, 1979 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Illinois. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Dawson + Wikoff Funeral Home, with visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials: Macon County Heart Fund. Mrs. Belcher was born in Assumption, daughter of Harry and Amanda Stivers. She was a member of Oak Grove Church of the Nazarene. She married Elmer L. Belcher in 1949. He died in 1975. Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Fred (Wilma) West of Decatur, step-daughters, Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Gillaspie of Decatur; Gayle Griffith of Fort Wayne, Ind., brothers, Harry Stivers of Rockford, Frank Stivers of Ramsey, Carroll Stivers of Warrensburg, Dale Stivers of Shelbyville, Dean Stivers of Moweaqua,; sisters, Mable McKeown of Wisconsin, Betty Cook of Crown Point, Ind., Mrs. Herb (Mary Jane) McDonald of Shelbyville, Mrs. John (Bonnie) Kaigley and Evelyn Colier, both of Decatur; Mrs. Charles (Darlene) Stone of Taylorville, and 13 grandchildren.spouse: >Belcher, Elmer Leroy (? - 1975)One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
