Vinca Minor
( Lesser Periwinkle, member of the Apocynaceae family )
Medicinal Preparation
Infusion: 1 oz of herb per pint of boiling
water puored of the herb and let to steep for 5 to 15 minutes
Decoction: 1 oz of root per pint of water
and boiled for 10 to 20 minutes
Tincture: [Fresh Herb 1:2, Dry Herb, 1:5, 50%
alcohol] 20-40 drops, to 2X a day

- Cerebral stimulant
- Vasodilator
- Reduces blood pressure
- Internally for excessive mensturation
- Abnormal uterine bleeding
- Vaginal discharge
- Harding of the arteries
- Externally for vaginal discharge
- Nosebleed
- Sore throat
- Mouth ulcers
- Gingivitis
- Contraindicated for those with constipation
- Contraindicated with pregnancy
